About
The Friends of the Chattanooga Public Library are community members who donate time and money to support library events, professional development of library staff, programs for special populations, and more.
Most of our funds come from the semi-annual book sales we hold. Other funds come from membership dues, memorial gifts, and donations to the Friends’ Endowment Fund or special projects. We also raise funds through our Alibris online sales. When you are looking for a book to purchase, please consider buying through our online storefront at alibris.com/stores/chattlib .
The funds raised are used only for library needs beyond the budget provided by the City of Chattanooga. Through the Friends' continuing volunteer efforts and financial support, the library has been able to offer summer programs for children, teens, and adults as seen below .
